- Huntington's Disease (HD) is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by motor, cognitive, and psychiatric symptoms. The first studies on the emotional behavior of HD patients, based on speech emotion recognition (SER) models, have recently emerged. Following on from this line of […]
- Previous research has shown that prosodic structure can regulate the relationship between co-speech gestures and speech itself. Most co-speech studies have focused on manual gestures, but head movements have also been observed to accompany speech events by Munhall, Jones, Callan, […]
- Achieving robust speech separation for overlapping speakers in various acoustic environments with noise and reverberation remains an open challenge. Although existing datasets are available to train separators for specific scenarios, they do not effectively generalize across diverse real-world scenarios. In […]

- Psychoacoustics concerns the relationship between the characteristics of an acoustic signal and the sound perception they induce. By carefully manipulating these characteristics, it is possible to explore the workings of the auditory system. However, while artificial signals, such as pure […]
- The number of people living in cities is constantly increasing, and it is estimated that by 2050, almost 66% of the world's 9.5 billion inhabitants will be urban dwellers. With rapid urbanization, new environmental challenges of sustainable development and public […]
- In recent years, the world of education has undergone critical changes, especially with the system’s massive digitalization in 2020, as well as the advancement of generative AI technologies. LeCycl "Learning Cyclotron" (Vargo et al., 2023) project is a part of […]
