Advanced processing for in-duct microphone array measurements

The Laboratory of Vibration and Acoustics (LVA) develops advanced methods for the processing of microphone array measurements in the frame of long-term collaboration projects with industrial partners in the field of aeronautics. In this context, the LVA offers a post-doctoral position on the following topic.
The characterization of the acoustic field in aircraft engines is a challenging task for different reasons such as the harsh measurement conditions due to the fluid velocity and temperature, but also because of the geometrical complexity of guided waves to be captured. The pressure fluctuations are usually collected at the boundary of the cavity (use of flush-mounted microphones) along different array geometries (axial, radial or randomly distributed). In this context, several post processing issues still deserve investigation. (…)
