The Anglo-French Physical Acoustics Conference (AFPAC) is organised by Le Groupe d’Acoustique Physique and the Sous-marine et UltraSonore (GAPSUS) of the Société Française d’Acoustique (SFA) and the IOP Physical Acoustics Group. AFPAC provides a forum in which the current research activity in physical acoustics, underwater acoustics and ultrasonics is reviewed.

The 25^th edition of the Anglo-French Physical Acoustic Conference (AFPAC) will be held in Arcachon, France, from January 20^th to 22^th, 2027.

This year, the 25th AFPAC will be organized by the Physical Acoustic Department (APy) of the Institut de Mécanique et d »Ingénierie de Bordeaux (I2M, UMR CNRS 5295).

The scope for this conference is to encourage cross-fertilisation of ideas across different application areas in the field of physical acoustics. Topics include, but are not limited to:

• Theoretical developments (all methods),
• Experimental measurements,
• Transduction,
• Linear and nonlinear acoustic or elastic wave phenomena (bulk, surface, guided waves),
• Scattering,
• Application to material characterization,
• Biomedical ultrasound,
• Imaging (non destructive testing and medical),
• Underwater acoustics and seismology,
• SAW in electronic devices, etc.
